Our Nursery specialises in propagating project specific endemic fynbos for the restoration of our natural spaces
The nursery provides a safe environment for storing rescued plants as well as propagating Fynbos from cuttings and seed for specialist projects aimed at restoring our natural environment.
The nursery is run by an enthusiastic team passionate about their projects lead by an experienced horticulturist, Lynda Muller.
Once a vineyard set on the slopes of Devon Valley, it has provided the perfect micro-climate home for the establishment of this Fynbos nursery.

Please note that our nursery is not open to the public .

The nursery staff, who mostly come from many generations of wine farming stock quickly established their affinity with all things natural and small in the nursery environment.

Our nursery and team is now able to offer safe storage for rescued plants, seeds & bulbs, advice on rehabilitation projects, as well as facilitating the search and rescue and rehabilitation of your natural area.

In the beginning…
the nursery was a single project to establish a growing ‘area’ to produce plants to rehabilitate a single wetland in the Cape Fynbos Region of Granite or Shale Renosterveld. The ‘area’ soon took on a life of its own and has turned into a thriving nursery capable of hosting many projects from various Fynbos regions at the same time.
As news of the nursery spread…
As more requests for fynbos rehabilitation have come in from many different sectors of the industry — from wine farmers looking to establish gardens or re-wild derelict previously farmed areas, to developers and landscapers obliged to introduce Endemic fynbos into their projects, while others are simply looking to give their small patch of heaven over to the natural environment in their community.
About 100 000 plants of 150 different species destined for various projects are produced annually and delivered to the various projects during winter.
A project specific seed bank is created for each project and stored at our facility for re-wilding and future use.
Plants are grown rough and tough in the nursery ensuring their best possible chances for survival after planting.
Plant origins are carefully recorded and a comprehensive herbarium, detailing every plant species and its eventual destination.
Keeping in line with our vision of of being environmentally friendly, the infrastructure has been built with re-used materials and power is supplied through solar.
